DevJourney is an independently developed mobile application created by developer Mk
Sikander and published under account owner Mohd Kafeel ("developer", "I", or "we").
This Privacy Policy details how information is handled, processed, and protected when you download and play
DevJourney.
Summary: Privacy is taken seriously. DevJourney does not collect advertising IDs, track your
location, or transmit your in-game career simulation to any remote servers. Data processing is strictly limited to
account authentication (Google Sign-In via Firebase) and in-app purchase verification (RevenueCat). There are no
separate usernames or passwords stored on any server.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimal data required to provide application functionality:
Account Information: Account creation is required to play DevJourney. When you sign in with
Google, authentication is handled securely via Firebase Authentication. We receive only your Google Account
email address and a system-generated Firebase User Identifier (UID) to authenticate your access, keep your
session active, and link purchases across devices. We do not create, collect, or store any separate username
or password on our servers. Any in-game character name you choose during gameplay is saved solely on your
local device.
Purchase History, Subscriptions & Lifetime Access Data: When you purchase subscriptions
(3-Month) or one-time upgrades (Lifetime), transactions are processed exclusively through Google Play Billing.
We and our servers never collect, receive, or store credit card numbers, debit card details, or banking
credentials. RevenueCat securely verifies transaction receipts, entitlement status (DevJourney Pro),
order identifiers, and subscription renewal/expiration dates using your anonymous Firebase User ID to unlock
features and support purchase restoration across devices.
Device & Diagnostic Identifiers: Anonymous installation tokens, crash stack traces (via
Firebase Crashlytics), and operational diagnostics (e.g., authentication latency and network request error
codes) handled automatically by Firebase and RevenueCat SDKs to maintain app reliability, fix crashes, and
combat fraud.
In-Game Simulation Data: All game decisions, skills, career arcs, storylines, and simulated
finances are stored strictly on your local device storage. They are never uploaded to any cloud
backend or shared with third parties.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely for the following operational purposes:
Authenticating your user session across app restarts.
Granting, verifying, and syncing active subscriptions and lifetime purchases across devices.
Preventing fraudulent access and diagnosing technical system failures and crashes.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted industry service providers who process data strictly on our behalf:
RevenueCat, Inc.: In-app purchase verification, receipt validation, and entitlement
management.
Google Play Billing (Google LLC): Merchant of record for secure payment and subscription
processing.
4. Data Sharing and Selling
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information. We do not integrate third-party
advertising SDKs, ad networks, or data brokers.
5. Security & Encryption in Transit
All network data transmitted by DevJourney to our service providers (Firebase and RevenueCat) is strictly
encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS / TLS 1.2+ protocols.
6. Account & Data Deletion Rights
You have the full right to delete your account and request complete erasure of your associated data at any time.
To submit an account and data deletion request, please visit our Account & Data
Deletion Portal or email the developer at mtq751@gmail.com.
Important note regarding subscriptions: Deleting your DevJourney account or uninstalling the app deletes
your game profile and unlinks your authentication record, but does not automatically cancel active
auto-renewing subscriptions in Google Play. Active subscriptions must be cancelled directly in the
Google Play Store (under Subscriptions) to prevent Google from billing subsequent billing cycles.
7. Children's Privacy
DevJourney does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 (or
under 16 where required by local law). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please
contact us immediately for prompt deletion.
